What You'll Do

Are you a dynamic marketing professional with a passion for driving growth? Cohen & Co is seeking a Senior Associate, Industry Marketing, to support the marketing and business development activities of the firm’s vertical industry groups. In this role, you will collaborate with team members to implement top-of-funnel lead generation initiatives that produce opportunities for enhanced relationships and business growth. The role reports to the Chief Marketing Officer and requires cross-functional teaming with assigned industry Vertical Market Leaders, the Business Development team and the firmwide Marketing team to drive meaningful results and contribute to the Firm’s strategic priority of being a Premium Provider to the markets it serves.

 

  • Work with CMO and Vertical Market Leaders to establish and keep updated growth plan elements including ideal client profile, SWOT analysis, strategic initiatives, KPIs, key competitors, etc.Own
  • Event Sponsorship activity
  • Calendar of events
  • Associated budget
  • Pre-event planning meetings
  • Salesforce campaign and activity tracking
  • Post-event debriefs
  • ROI/associated activity tracking and reporting
  • Associated thought leadership and social media activity
  • Related sponsorship marketing needs
  • Develop and keep updated Vertical relevant stats that support differentiated messaging in the market
  • Oversee tracking of key Centers of Influence (COI) relationships and activities
  • Lead Vertical internal communication efforts
  • Facilitate firmwide community calls (scheduling, messaging, materials)
  • Maintain Vertical Intranet pages
  • Build/maintain industry association relationships
  • Support Vertical-driven Client Experience related initiatives
  • Provide support to Marketing Content Manager and Marketing Events Manager on industry Vertical Thought Leadership opportunities covering white papers, webinars and surveys
  • Provide support to Growth Leadership Team to activate/test Minimum Viable Product ideas and strategic messaging/lead gen campaigns
  • Support Growth Leadership Team on vertical-specific M&A-related activities including messaging and growth strategies related to new acquisitions

Who You Are

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, or communications; or equivalent practical experience 
  • Minimum of 3 years in a marketing or BD support role, preferably with a professional services firm (accounting, law, consulting) 
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite 
  • Experience with CRM, Salesforce preferred 
  • Experience with marketing automation preferred 
  • Strong project management skills and the ability to manage multiple, and sometimes time-sensitive, projects simultaneously 
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills—both verbal and in writing, with excellent attention to detail  
  • Strong client service skills, able to anticipate needs and exercise independent judgment 
  • Results-oriented, with a passion for driving growth and innovation  
  • A collaborative approach, with the ability to work across multiple departments and influence stakeholders at all levels
